Acer unveiled a series of affordable premium gaming laptops at CES 2023. The company unveils these laptops under its Predator Helios and Nitro series. These laptops feature the latest RTX 40 GPUs from Nvidia and the highest model has a miniLED display with a refresh rate of 250Hz.

The New Acer Predator Helio Laptops

The new Acer Predator Helio laptops come in two display sizes of 16 and 18 inches. The 16-inch model has a 2560×1600 display resolution while the 18-inch model has a 1920×1200 resolution. Both models are available in both IPS (165Hz) and mini-LED panels and have features such as 250Hz, 1000nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

The hardware you get on these laptops depends on the configuration. The configuration options include a 13th-generation Intel Core i9 HX or Core i7 HX processor, as well as NVIDIA GeForce discrete graphics up to RTX 4080 (165W). These laptops have up to 32GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage with a PCIe 4.0 interface.

Acer also confirmed at CES 2023 that these laptops are equipped with RGB-backlit keyboards and liquid metal as a thermal interface. The air ducts of the cooling system are on the back of the case, and you can control the fan operation mode using the shortcut key to the special PredatorSense software.

The New Acer Nitro Laptops

The new Acer Nitro laptops are available in 16 and 17-inch models. These laptops are also equipped with 13th-generation Intel Core processors and GeForce RTX 40 family graphics cards from Nvidia. The 16-inch model has a 1920×1200 or 2560×1600 resolution while the 17-inch model has a 2560×1440 or 1920×1080 display resolution.

The 16-inch model supports a 165Hz refresh rate while the 17-inch model supports 144Hz or 165Hz depending on the screen resolution. These laptops are also equipped with DDR5-4800 RAM and NVMe SSD storage with a PCIe 4.0 interface.

Price and Availability of the new Acer Predator Helio and Nitro Laptops

The 16-inch model of the new Acer Predator Helio will be available in North America in March and its starting price is $1,699.99 and in Europe in February with a starting price of €2,399. The 18-inch Acer Predator Helio laptop will cost $1599 and €2499 in North America and Europe respectively.

The 16-inch Acer Nitro laptop will go on sale in North America and Europe this May with a starting price of $1,199.99 and €1,499, respectively. The 17-inch Acer Nitro laptop will retail for $1,199.99 and €1,599 in North America and Europe respectively.
