Apple partners with HAAS Alert to improve Roadway Hazard Alerts on Apple Maps

One of the many reasons why users love Apple is its commitment to its users. And to show this, the company has partnered with HAAS Alert to bring major improvements to Apple Maps in the United States.

Apple just partnered with HAAS Alert in the United States to integrate real-time roadway hazard information from HAAS Alert Safety Cloud. This makes Apple Maps better at notifying users of upcoming safety issues.

The HAAS Safety Cloud service is one of the “most comprehensive and trusted digital alerting platforms for roadway safety” in the US. And the integration of its Roadway Hazard alert will help Apple Maps users.

With this integration, Apple Maps will now alert drivers who are approaching emergency vehicles, incident responders, work zones, and other hazards on the road sourced by Safety Cloud. These digital alerts about upcoming hazards on the road will improve driver safety and reduce the risk of crashes.

Jeremy Aqulnek, HAAS Alert’s SVP of Connected Vehicle, said that the company applauds “Apple for prioritizing driver safety and taking steps towards achieving the Vision Zero goal of eliminating all traffic fatalities and severe injuries.”

It is important to note that Apple Maps already has safety alerts about upcoming road hazards. However, integrating the information from HAAS Safety Cloud will make the alerts real-time and more comprehensive.
