The Apple Watch Series 8 has a rectangular design. It has a 1.9-inch LTPO OLED Always-On Display touchscreen with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a resolution of 484 x 396px. The smartwatch is available in three color options Midnight, Starlight, Red, and Silver.

Apple Watch Series 8 offers many health and fitness features. It gives High and low heart-rate notifications, Fall Detection, Crash Detection, Irregular rhythm notifications, Temperature sensing, Cycle tracking with retrospective ovulation estimates, Blood Oxygen apps, and is ECG certified.

Crash detection is very useful. According to Apple, upon detecting a crash, the SmartWatch will automatically alert the emergency services and your emergency contacts. Also, the smartwatch is waterproof and good to go for swimming.

The battery life is stepped up a little bit. It has a 308 mAh capacity, which Apple rated for up to 18 hours of normal use with an always-on display, automatic workouts, and fall detection, and up to 36 hours with an Ultra-low-power mode.

Apple Watch Series 8 price in Germany starts at €499. The smartwatch will compete against the likes of the OPPO Watch 3 Pro and Galaxy Watch 5 series. Pre-order has started and shipping will commence on September 16.

    1. Hello Manuel, if you’re referring to normal swimming, then YES but we’re not sure it’ll be able to do so effectively under deep waters. That’s why there is Apple Watch Ultra which is built for extreme conditions. But we’re still waiting for a full review to test and see all that the Apple Watch Series 8 is capable of. So, you can wait for such a review to confirm all the capabilities of the Watch Series 8.
