Asus is reportedly working on its new gaming smartphone and it’s the Asus Rog Phone 6 series. A tipster has shared 2D renders of these smartphones online. As of now, there is no confirmed release date of these smartphones from Asus.
According to the tipster, Asus Rog Phone 6 series will be made of two device namely: Asus Rog Phone 6 and Asus Rog Phone 6 Pro. The design of the Rog Phone 6 is similar to those of the previously released Asus Rog Phone 5 series. It’s also said that the incoming ROG Phone 6 series features a secondary display at the rear.
From the 2D renders shared by (@EqualLeaks), the device is coming with a triple rear camera placed horizontally. The renders only shows half of the back of both phones.
The design and look of the incoming Asus Rog Phone 6 looks very similar to Asus Rog Phone 5 series. Even the secondary display is placed in similar position. If there will be changes, it’ll be more in the software and specifications.
Specifications of the Asus Rog Phone 6 series (rumored)
Asus Rog Phone 6 is expected to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate. It might come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and paired with up to 18GB of RAM.
It might boot Android 12 out of the box and feature a 6,000mAh battery. The device might also retain the 3.5mm jack port and come with stereo speakers. As per camera, it might come with 64MP triple camera and lots of fans and trigger sensors for gamers.
There is so much we don’t know about the device yet but now that renders are out, more information and leaks will follow soon. The device is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2022 (most likely March).
