1. Apple MacBook Air M2
The Apple MacBook Air with the M2 chipset is the best value for money in the line of Apple Mac Products this year. This machine features a new design, now has improved performance, a longer battery, a good display, is very light weighted, and is selling for $1199. The MacBook Air M2 is a mobile machine that can do any task you throw its way.
It’s very sleek and you can carry it around without issues. We used this device to edit 4k videos, play games, and do other intensive tasks and it did just well. It is perfect for students, graphics designers that are on a budget, office workers, etc. The only downside noticed with the MacBook Air M2 is that it drops performance after a while and this is because the Apple M2 chipset inside is not probably cooled.

2. Apple MacBook Pro 14 with M2 Pro/M2 Max
This 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro is no doubt one of the best and most expensive laptops of 2023. This PC comes with the Apple M2 Pro or M2 Max chipset and has one of the best performances you’ll see in a 2023 PC. Not many windows PC come close to competing with this one but with a price tag of $1999, it’s quite an expensive machine. However, looking past the price tag, we found that this PC is an absolute beast performer.
If you need a PC that can handle those heavy tasks, has a smooth display, and long battery life, then you should look the way of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro or M2 Max chipset. During my time with this laptop, not only was it fast at rendering graphics, its performance when playing games was consistent and its battery life is just incredible. Note that if you’re a light user I’ll recommend you buy the MacBook Air with the M2 chipset above.

3. Apple MacBook Pro 16 with M2 Pro/M2 Max
This is a 16-inch display of the MacBook Pro above. It has similar performance but has better efficiency cores which make its battery last longer. Aside from the screen size, you can hardly tell the differences between this Mac laptop and the 14-inch model above.
However, when we pushed both PCs to their limit, we noticed that the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chipset sustain optimum performance for a longer time and also gave us a longer battery life. The extra performance, bigger screen size, and longer battery are why this PC is priced at $2499. Except you’re a lover of big screens, I’ll still recommend the 14-inch model ahead of this one because that one is $500 cheaper and gives you more than enough performance for whatever task you need.

4. Mac Mini with M2 or M2 Pro Chip
The latest portable Apple Mac Mini that has the M2 and M2 Pro chipset is no doubt the best affordable Apple Mac desktop you can buy this year. The price of this desktop is $599 and it’s equipped with a 12-core CPU and a 19-core GPU that are truly impressive. This little desktop has everything you need and also comes with the processing power for any operation.
What I love most about this PC is the fact that it’s very portable. I can pack the PC in my backpack and plug it into any supported display anywhere and I’m good to go. Compared to other desktops, this device comes with limited ports but its sure has all the necessary ports like HDMI, 3.5mm jack ports, USB ports, etc. This desktop and its price tag are so good that Apple decided to stop selling the Mac Mini with an M1 chip after its debut.

5. Mac Studio with M1 Max or M1 Ultra Chip
The Apple Mac Studio with the M1 Max or M1 Ultra chipset is an even more powerful desktop computer from Apple. For the task that the Mac Mini above could not perform, we brought in the Mac Studio and it was done within minutes. The Mac Studio has a 20-core CPU and a 64-core GPU which makes it a performing beast.
There has been no task that this $1999 Apple desktop has not been able to perform during our time with it. Another impressive thing is that the Mac Studio desktop has an impressive cooling system that allows it to perform at an optimum level for a very long time. If you need a desktop machine to render multiple 8K files, the Mac Studio will do it without stress.

Apple Mac Products: Not Recommended
Note that not recommending the Apple machines below does not mean they’re bad or that they perform poorly. It only means that Apple has better alternatives that are more affordable.
1. Apple MacBook Pro 13
We do not recommend that you buy the 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 chip. This is because the MacBook Air with an M2 chipset is a better alternative. The M2 MacBook Air has a better design, is lighter, has similar performance, and is cheaper.
2. Studio Display
The Studio Display has its role to play but I don’t think it’s useful for many people. I mean, why spend $1599 to buy the Studio Display when you can buy the M2 MacBook Air for just $1199? The Studio Display is not mobile (at least not as easy as the Mac laptops) and I feel is meant for just a small tiny group of people that actually have a need for it.
Conclusion
Of all the Apple Mac Products that I have tested out this year, I’ll say the M2 Apple MacBook Air impressed me the most. It is one of the Best Apple Mac Products I have used not because it’s the most powerful but because it offers such great value for the money. Plus its performance is more than what most people need. The Mac Mini with M2 and M2 Pro is also a very great machine and its price just suits its performance.
