China bans iPhone- government officials are no longer allowed to use an Apple iPhone. This measure taken was for security purposes according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
The iPhone ban in China applies to government officials. They are prohibited from using iPhones at the office or for work-related tasks and are also stopped from bringing them to the workplace.

Another reason for the ban is for the country to cut down on its dependence on foreign technology and keep sensitive information from possibly leaking. On the other hand, this move by the Chinese government can also be viewed as revenge on the US ban on Huawei and ZTE in the US.
