Online shopping is becoming more popular in recent years and so is the growing need for social media platforms to make it easier for users to shop online. Take Facebook for instance, it has launched its own Facebook Shops interface in 2020, and right now, it’s bringing Facebook Shops to WhatsApp.

With this feature, Facebook Shops will be accessible from WhatsApp by users for easy shopping.

You will soon be able to shop from Facebook Shops using WhatsApp soon

According to a report by TechRadar, “Facebook Shops, a feature providing small business owners with the possibility to sell their products on Facebook-owned platforms, is soon going to expand to WhatsApp.”

In a Live Chat Audio room, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that the company will be making it easier for users to discover and buy products from Shops. The details of this post were later published in a post.

He stated that this feature will first be available in selected countries and businesses in these countries will soon be able to showcase their Shop in WhatsApp. But no official date for the feature rollout was stated by him.

Business Shops is accessible from the business’s Facebook page or its Instagram profile. Also, the business products are identified automatically and tagged in the feed. This way, it is easier for users to find them and purchase if they see something they like.

Launched in 2020, Facebook Shops now has over 300 million monthly visitors and 1.2 million monthly active Shops.

Having Shops in WhatsApp will make is very easy for users and customers to chat with businesses before purchasing an item. Facebook is also working on better ways to discover Shops on Instagram using ad solutions and visual discoveries for products.
