Samsung has started rolling out Android 12 update for users of the Galaxy S20 FE in the United States. Last month, the Galaxy S20 FE in Europe was getting the Android 12 update same time when the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 was getting it. It’s time for users of the Galaxy S20 FE in the US to join their European brothers.
The firmware version number of the unlocked Galaxy S20 FE 5G getting the Android 12 update in the US is G781U1UEU6EULD. While the firmware version number of the carrier-locked Galaxy S20 FE is G781USQU6EULI. Along with the new One UI 4.0 update, this new update also comes with December security patch for the phone.

Users of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the US should start getting update notifications anytime soon. If you have not seen an update notification, you can check for latest software update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.

You can also download the new firmware manually and flash your device by yourself (download link below). But you have to be tech savvy and be sure you know what you’re doing. Also, make sure to back up your files before you start installing this update.

So far, Samsung has been one of the major Android OEM that has been consistent with rolling out Android 12 updates to its devices. Remember that the Galaxy S20 FE 5G booted Android 10 out of the box. And getting Android 12 means a second major software update as the device already got Android 11 early last year.
