Galaxy Tab S7 FE is Tab device manufactured by Samsung. It’s the Fan Edition (FE) version of the previously released Galaxy Tab S7. It’s more like a tuned down version of the regular Tab S7.

This device is coming with 5G connectivity amongst other things. Looking back and seen how Samsung users loved the Galaxy S20 FE, it’s giving the Korean tech giants morale to produce more Fan Edition across its device line up.

Chipset, CPU and GPU

The chipset that is under hood of this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. It’s a premium mid-range chipset from Qualcomm that supports 5G connectivity. This chipset also uses good CPU’s and power GPU – although not as strong as the ones used in the regular Tab S7.

As far as performance is concern, this chipset can do almost anything you throw its way – there is limit to what all chipsets can take. It’s just suitable for gaming, watching movies, and surfing the internet. Even doing some pretty graphic stuffs won’t be much of an issue with the device.

Using this mid-range chipset is one way Samsung is trying to keep the Galaxy Tab S7 FE affordable. And the choice of chipset also suggests that it won’t be launched globally – especially in areas without 5G.

Cameras

At the rear, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with an 8MP auto focus lens and upfront it has 5MP for selfies and videos. These are not the best cameras but hey, tabs are not built as camera centric devices.

With the cameras, you can make video calls, take good photos and record videos at 1080p. There is no OIS, gyro-EIS but there is flashlight and autofocus feature.

Display and Build Material

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with 12.4-inch IPS LCD display with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. An AMOLED display would have been better but IPS LCD panel is what you’re getting with this one.

The tablet also comes with an S Pen which justifies the Tab on its name. The low-latency pen has a soft tip and is said to feel like a real pen when writing with it. The software converts handwriting into text in real-time and charges automatically when placed on the magnetic part on the back panel.

Galaxy Tab S7 FE also has support for Samsung DeX. When you turn on this mode, you get a desktop environment with a start menu and a taskbar. Samsung is also selling an optional keyboard cover that allows users to transform the Galaxy Tab into a small notebook.

RAM, Storage and Battery

This phone come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is another storage option of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. But all models might not be available in all countries. There is space for storage expansion via microSD card.

The battery capacity is non-removable 10,090mAh with 45W fast charge. No wireless charge and no reverse charge feature is available and its not also coming with charging brick in the box.

Software and Sensors

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 straight out of the box. There are three built-in microphones to make sure your voice is clean during calls.
