Price

These two smartwatches are priced alike. Apple Watch Series 8 is priced at $399 for the GPS-only version and the GPS+Cellular is priced at $499. While the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is priced at $450 for the Bluetooth version and $500 for the LTE (cellular) version.

Release Date and Availability

Design, Display, and Durability

The design language is different. Apple Watch Series 8 retains the rectangular shape of its predecessor, while the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a circular shape. They are durable because of the sapphire glass protection and waterproof certification. This means you can swim with both smartwatches.

The Apple Watch Series 8 is powered by the latest Apple S8 chipset. Paired with 1GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The S8 Chip comes with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a dual-core CPU, and PowerVR GPU. It’s currently one of the fastest chip on any smartwatches right now.

While the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is powered by the Exynos W920 chipset paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage. The Exynos W920 chip comes with Bluetooth 5.2, Dual-core 1.18 GHz Cortex-A55 and Mali-G68 GPU.

Health and Fitness Sensors
