Google Bard AI Chatbot struggles: The battle for AI Chatbot in the search engine space is heating up and for the first time, it appears Google is behind Microsoft in this race. Since the appearance of ChatGPT AI Chatbot, Google and Microsoft have shown interest in AI and how to utilize it in helping our search queries. However, Microsoft is the first to implement AI in its Bing search as the company splashed a $10 billion investment into OpenAI.
From the initial tests and results of Google Bard AI and Bing AI, it seems Microsoft is leading the race. In a current demo, Google Bard AI was asked a question and the response it gave was not accurate. This wrong response cost Google $100 million.

Google Bard AI test Failure
In a demo, the Google Bard is asked, “What new discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope can I tell my 9-year-old about?” After a little pause, the Google Bard AI responded with two answers. However, the ultimate response it provided was incorrect.
According to the response from the Google Bard demo, the telescope had captured the first images of a planet outside our solar system (which is incorrect). Truth is, the Very Large Telescope at the European Southern Observatory snapped the first images of these “exoplanets” in the archives at NASA and not the James Webb Space Telescope.
Microsoft Bing AI Chatbot is ahead
For now, Microsoft has successfully integrated AI with its Bing search and it’s currently leading Google in this space. According to Google Bard analyst Colin Sebastian, Microsoft is leading in early AI public relations. Microsoft Bing AI is currently ahead of Google Bard AI but we’re still in the early stages of the search engine AI implementation.
The response from Bing AI has been consistent and really helpful to early users. In areas where appropriate, Bing AI will recommend related links for users to get data and human reviews.
