The Google Pixel 5a screen may be bigger but the Pixel 5 gives a better display experience because of the 90Hz refresh rate enabled.

Pixel 5a has a 6.34-inch FHD+ OLED touchscreen, but with no high refresh rate available. Whereas the Pixel 5 brings a 6.0-inch FHD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate enabled.

Both smartphones are water and dust resistant, however the Google Pixel 5 is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 making it more durable.

Camera

When it comes to photography and videography, both are equal. The Camera setup and quality of both devices remain unchanged. A 12MP main cam and 16MP ultrawide lens. While upfront is an 8MP selfie camera. The 12 MP main sensor has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and can record video in 4k resolution.

Pixel 5a is more budget friendly, it is priced $449 because it is a midrange device from Google.
While Google Pixel 5 price is $629. The Pixel 5 is more expensive being a flagship smartphone from Google.

Conclusion

The Pixel 5 is the better smartphone of these two. It is more expensive, yes, but that’s because it brings flagship features (90Hz, HDR10+ and wireless charging) that you won’t see on the Pixel 5a midrange.

So if I’m to score both these two devices by percentage. I’ll score the Pixel 5a 5G (44%) while the Google Pixel 5 5G gets (56%)
