Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
The Google event is still about a month away from today but rumors and leaks about the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have been flying around for a while. Both smartphones are expected to feature the second generation of the Google Tensor chip. The Google Tensor chip was first introduced in the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. It later featured in the more affordable $300 Google Pixel 6a.
The Tensor chip is a good chipset but mostly focused on software and AI. So, we expect the second generation of this chipset to bring some improved level of performance along with its high AI performance. Also, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were very popular for the many bugs that plagued the phones when they first debut. We expect the second-gen of the Google Tenso chip will minimize this in the Pixel 7 series.

As for the display, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is expected to have a 6.7-inches OLED display with a 120Hz LTPO refresh panel while the Pixel 7 will have a 6.4-inches OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Both phones will have a centered punch hole on the screen but the screen of the Pixel 7 Pro will be slightly curved on both edges while that of the Pixel 7 is expected to be flat. On the rear, the camera modules on both phones will run across the back panel from side to side.
It will come with 8GB/12GB of RAM that will be paired with 128GB/256GB of internal storage. We don’t expect to see a 3.5mmheadphone jack and a microSD card slot. But, it’ll be IP68 water and dust-resistant, and it’ll have support for wireless charging technology.

The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will boot Android 13 out of the box and this makes sense because the likes of the Pixel 6a and Pixel 4a are already getting the Android 13 update in some regions. As for the battery, rumor has it that the Pixel 7 will feature a 4,600mAh battery while the Pixel 7 Pro will feature a 4,800mAh battery.
The starting price of the Google Pixel 7 might start from $599 or $649 going by recent market pricing trends while the price of the Pixel 7 Pro might start from $899 and could go as high as $999.

Google Pixel Watch
There are very limited updates and leaks about the Google Pixel watch. However, Alphabet and Google CEO, Sundar Pichai was spotted wearing what seem like the Pixel watch in his recent interview. Pichai is not very popular for wearing any kind of watch in public, but on this occasion, he wore what we can safely assume to be Pixel Watch which had a yellow (“Lemongrass”) band.
A leaked measurement taken with calipers suggested that the size of the Pixel watch is a little over 14mm (and with an over 40mm diameter). According to a report, the Pixel Watch will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9110. Other features are said to include 1.5GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, SpO2 (blood oxygen), ECG (electrocardiogram) readings, 300mAh, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, LTE cellular mode, USB-C port, built-in GPS, and 50 meters of water resistance.
None of these features of the Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch are confirmed. But as we get closer to the October 6 Google event, we expect to see more updates and leaks.
