Aside from having a smaller screen the Google Pixel 7a also has a lesser refresh rate of 90Hz. The display of the Samsung Galaxy A54 is smoother with its 120Hz. The display of both phones has the same AMOLED panel and supports HDR10. The differences in the display of both phones are the size and refresh rate.
The Pixel 7a has a 6.1-inch display which is smaller than the 6.4-inch of the Galaxy A54 and whole the Galaxy A54 has a 120Hz refresh rate, the Pixel 7a has a 90Hz refresh rate. The display of the Galaxy A54 is better and bigger but if you need a compact phone, then you might prefer the Pixel 7a.

Chipset: Performance and Gaming
The Google Pixel 7a has a better performance than the Samsung Galaxy A54 and this is because of the chipset inside. The Pixel 7a features the Tensor G2 chipset which has faster CPU cores and is paired with a more powerful GPU than the Exynos 1380 chipset in the Galaxy A54.
Although both smartphones are 5G enabled, the Pixel 7a is better than the Galaxy A54 when it comes to playing games, processing data, and rendering graphics. The performance of the Pixel 7a is about 4x better than that of the Galaxy A54 thanks to the chipset inside the Pixel 7a.

Camera: Photography and Videography
The camera sensors on both smartphones are different. The Pixel 7a has a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP front camera while the Galaxy A54 has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro lens, and a 32MP front camera. Both smartphones have similar camera features but the Pixel 7a has more.
When taking photos, the Pixel 7a produces sharper images and while both phones can record 4K videos with their front and back cameras, the Pixel 7a has more stabilization features. For example, the Galaxy A54 only has the gyro-EIS and OIS stabilization features while the Pixel 7a has Pixel Shift, OIS, and gyro-EIS stabilization features.
For their prices, the Galaxy A54 and Pixel 7a are really good camera smartphones. But, if you ask me, I prefer the photos and videos shot on the Pixel 7a to ones shot on the Galaxy A54.

The battery inside the Galaxy A54 is a 5,000mAh cell which is bigger than the 4,385mAh cell inside the Pixel 7a. Both smartphones support fast charging but the Pixel 7a supports wireless charging while the Galaxy A54 does not.
Although the battery inside the Galaxy A54 is bigger, it does not last way longer than the battery of the Pixel 7a. This is because the Pixel 7a has a chipset that has really good efficiency cores and the battery last almost as long as that of the Galaxy A54. The Pixel 7a is a better battery phone because it offers a more convenient way to charge that battery.
