Google Pixel 8 Specs: Google is launching the Pixel 8 with some really nice specs. Although it retains a similar design as the Google Pixel 7 from last year, it has some new specs in the hardware. Google Pixel 8

The Google Pixel 8 comes with a 6.17-inch AMOLED display. This display supports a 120Hz refresh rate which is better than the 90Hz in the Pixel 7. The display also supports HDR10+ and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display has the Always-on display feature and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Google Pixel 8 Specs

The front screen is flat and it has a punch hole on the top center. For performance, the Pixel 8 will feature the Google Tensor G3 5G chipset under the hood. The Tensor G3 chipset is a 5G chipset that has a Nine-core CPU.

The chipset will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. There is no microSD card slot or a 3.5 mm headphone jack port. As per the camera system, the Pixel 8 has the same camera sensors as the ones found in the Pixel 7.

It has a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10.5MP front camera. The front and back cameras can record videos in 4K resolutions. Other camera features of the Pixel 8 are multi-directional PDAF, Laser AF, OIS, Dual-LED flash, Pixel Shift, Auto-HDR, panorama, gyro-EIS, OIS, and 10-bit HDR.

Google Pixel 8 packs a 4,485mAh battery and it has support for 24W wired charging, 12W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. It boots Android 14 out of the box and will get up to four years of software updates.

Google Pixel 8 Price and Release Date

The price of the Google Pixel 8 starts at $699 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The model with 8 + 256GB is sold for about $799.

Google will launch the Pixel 8 on October 4, 2023. After the launch, pre-orders will start and shipment of the phone is expected to begin by the third week of October.
