Display and Durability
The first difference between both foldable phones is the display size. While the display of the Pixel Fold is wide that of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is tall. So, even though both phones have a 7.6-inch foldable display, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 appears to be bigger. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a bigger outer display of 6.2 inches thanks to its smaller bezels.
The design of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 looks better as it features an under-display camera tech and very slim bezels. While the Pixel Fold has very big bezels which makes it looks like an old phone from five years ago. Even though both phones are certified to be IPX8 water resistant, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is still the more durable device.
The hinge of the Z Fold 4 is better than those of the Pixel Fold. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 also features an Armor aluminum frame with tougher drop and scratch resistance which makes its frame stronger than the frame of the Pixel Fold. For design, display, and durability, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is better than the Pixel Fold.

Chipset: Performance and Gaming
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a better performance than the Google Pixel Fold and this is because of the chipset inside. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which has faster CPU cores and is paired with a more powerful GPU than the Tensor G2 chipset in the Pixel Fold.
Although both smartphones are 5G enabled, the Galaxy Z Fold is better, faster, and smoother than the Pixel Fold when it comes to playing games, processing data, and rendering graphics. Don’t get it wrong, the Pixel Fold has a very good performance but the performance of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is just better on every level.

Camera: Photography and Videography
The camera sensors on both smartphones are different. The Pixel Fold has a 48MP main camera, a 10.8MP ultra-wide camera, 10.8MP telephoto lens, an 8MP front camera on the inner screen, and a 9.5MP camera on the outer screen. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens, a 4MP front camera on the inner screen, and a 10MP camera on the outer screen.
The front camera of both phones can record videos in 4K resolution but while the back camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can record videos in 8K resolution, that of the Pixel Fold can only do 4K resolution. Both phones have camera features such as PDAF, OIS, gyro-EIS, HDR, etc.
From my time with both phones, the Pixel Fold is better when taking still photos while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 records better videos. But overall, both smartphones are good camera phones.

The battery inside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a 4,400mAh cell which is smaller than the 4,821mAh cell inside the Pixel Fold. Both smartphones support wireless charging but only the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is confirmed to support reverse wireless charging.
Both phones are good battery phones and you can easily get more than 7 hours of screen time with both phones. I constantly got about 15% of the battery left after using both phones every day. I should point out that charging the battery of the Z Fold 4 is faster.
