It has two power cores (2x Cortex-X1) with a CPU speed of 2.85GHz, two big efficiency cores (2x Cortex-A78) with a CPU speed of 2.35GHz, and four small efficiency cores (4x Cortex-A55) with a CPU speed of 1.80GHz. The connectivity options available on both chipsets are very similar. Both chipsets have support for 5G connectivity but have different 5G MODEM inside. The Tensor G2 has the G5300B 5G MODEM from Samsung while the A16 Bionic has the X65 MODEM from Qualcomm.

comparing the tensor g2 chip to the a16 bionic chip is like comparing a rookie boxer making his pro debut against the undisputed 5 time champion. bugs and faults of the much less experienced tensor g2 chip has a ways to go until they’re solved and eliminated, by comparison the much more experienced a16 bionic chip has long eliminated those bugs and faults. so while the future tensor g3 chip may have solved and eliminated those bugs and faults it’s opponent will be the even better a17 bionic chip. sounds like apple is miles ahead of google in what could only called a blowout in apple’s favor.
