Along with the regular Pixel 6, Google also unveiled the Google Pixel 6 Pro in its Pixel Fall event. It has similar looks as the regular Pixel 6 but it’s bigger in size and heavier in weight.

The Pixel 6 Pro is bigger and heavier because it has bigger battery and bigger better display. One area the Pixel 6 Pro is far better is its camera capabilities. Its camera is more versatile compared to the regular Pixel 6.

The starting price of the Google Pixel 6 Pro is $899 for the 12GB of RAM + 128GB of storage. There is also the 256GB and 512GB storage models which are more expensive.

Key features of the Google Pixel 6 Pro

The Pixel 6 Pro comes with a 6.71-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. Under the hood, the phone rock the newly introduced Google Tensor chip paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB, 256GB or 512GB.

In the camera segment, the Pixel 6 Pro comes with triple rear camera, a 50MP main camera with Samsung’s GN1 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with Sony’s IMX386 sensor, and a 48MP telephoto that is capable of 4x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.

To enjoy taking photos and videos, Google included some of the following camera features; manual white balance adjustment, Magic Eraser, and Face Unblur.

The smartphone is now powered by a 5,000mAh battery and has support for 30W fast wired charge, 23W fast wireless charging, and reverse wireless charge tech.

Google Pixel 6 Pro is runs Android 12 out of the box and Google is promising three years of Android OS updates and five years of monthly security patches.

Other features of the Pixel 6 Pro include; an under-display fingerprint reader, IP68 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, ultra-wideband (UWB) support, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Pricing & Availability

The starting price of the Google Pixel 6 Pro is $899 for the base 12GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It’s available for pre-order starting October 19 and will start shipping on October 28.

The phone will be available from all major US carriers and retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Costco, Google Store, and others. Color options include Sorta Seafoam, Kinda Coral, and Stormy Black.
