Honor has launched a new premium midrange smartphone in China- the Honor 80 GT. It is placed in between the Honor 80 Pro and Honor 80. It shares some similarities with the Honor 80 Pro, especially when in terms of performance as it is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Below are the full details.
Honor 80 GT price in China starts at CNY 3,299 ($475) for the 12GB RAM and 256 GB storage model, while the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 3,599 ($540). The Pre-orders of both smartphones have started in China and shipments will commence on January 1, 2023.

The Honor 80 GT features a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate support. The display has a cutout hole with a max brightness of 1,400 nits. More so, it offers 10-bit color depth and 100% DCI-P3. And it will be available in three color options Black, Blue, and White.
Powering the Honor 80 GT is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, paired with 12/16GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. The battery capacity measures 4,800 mAh capacity with a 66W wired fast charge.

Camera-wise, there is a triple rear camera system consisting of Sony’s IMX800 54MP sensor, supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro unit. While upfront is a 16MP for a selfie. The rear camera can record video in 4kp resolution. Unfortunately, the phone boots Magic UI 7 based on Android 12 out of the box.
