Display

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 when unfolded has a 7.6-inches OLED main display with 120Hz refresh rate support. While the cover screen is narrower at 6.2-inches tall but lacks proper wideness, although it has 120Hz refresh rate support.

In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is more durable because it is IPX8 water-resistant certified. But perhaps the most fascinating thing about this device could be the support for S-Pen. On the other hand, Honor Magic V is slightly bigger and has a more user-friendly cover screen because of its aspect ratio.

When unfolded the main display is a 7.9-inch OLED with 90Hz refresh rate support, while the outer display with 6.4-inch OLED has a 120Hz refresh rate. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is more durable (water-resistant) and productive because of the S-Pen support.

Camera

Honor Magic V has a 50 MP main snapper, supported by a 50MP color spectrum shooter and 50MP ultrawide lens. There are two 42MP selfie cameras housed in punch hole cutouts on the cover screen and on the main screen. Both the back and front cameras can record video in 4k resolution.

While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a 12 MP OIS main shooter, supported by a 12MP periscope 2x telephoto lens and 12MP ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is 10MP and inside the big display is a 4 MP UDC camera with poor resolution. Galaxy Z Fold 3 rear camera can as well record video in 4k resolution.

Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 back camera system is better because it is more versatile for usage and has OIS. But the selfie camera is poor which is why I’ll prefer that of the Honor Magic V.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is more expensive. At launch, it has a starting price of $1,799 for the 12/256 GB model. Although the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has dropped since then. While the Honor Magic V has a starting price of $1,599 for the 12/256 GB variant.

I think the Honor Magic V major problem would be that for now it is only available in China, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is available for all in different regions.
