Alongside the Honor 80 GT announcement in China was the release of the Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet. The first tablet in the world with 144Hz refresh rate support. Also, the Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet gained IMAX Enhanced certification that would allow users to stream content that supports the standard. Below are more details.
The Honor Pad V8 Pro price in China starts at CNY 2,599 ($399) for the 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage model, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,899 ($449). And goes up to CNY 3,299 ($499) for the 12/256 GB storage model. The Pre-orders of the tablet have started in China and shipments will commence on January 1, 2023.
The tablet brings a 12.1-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 2560 x 1600px resolution, 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and 144Hz refresh rate support. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. And it will be available in three color options Grey, Blue, and Orange.
Performance-wise, the Honor Pad V8 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G chipset, paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The battery capacity measures 10,050 mAh battery with support for 35W fast wired charging. Unfortunately, the Honor Pad V8 Pro boots Magic UI 7 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Around the back of the tablet is a 13MP single camera, while upfront is a 5MP cam. Both camera systems come with fixed focus. For now, there’s no date for global lunching. But we’ll keep you guys posted.
