Honor is teasing a new Honor Magic phone that it will unveil in the MWC 2022 event. With the event just few weeks away, we can only wait and see what the company has to offer. According to a Geekbench test, the new Honor Magic phone is expected to be better than the new released Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
In a test carried about tipster @RODENT950, he compared the Geekbench scores of the Honor Magic phone and Galaxy S22 Ultra. In single core, the Magic phone scored 1,245-points while the S22 Ultra scored 1,215 points.

The dominance also continues in the multi-core score with the Magic phone hitting a massive 3,901-point and the S22 Ultra trailing behind with 3,303-points.
Not to mince words, the Galaxy S22 series is currently the best smartphones of 2022. And it will take more than just Geekbench score to dethrone it. Real life performance and efficiency will be considered.

So for now, we’ll take those Geekbench score and keep it awaiting the launch of the phone for real life test to see if it’s actually a worthy opponent of the Galaxy phone.
On Facebook, Honor CEO George Zhao shared a teaser of the incoming Honor Magic phone. From the teaser, it’s confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

Honor is tagging the device “beyond standard” which is a big hype for a phone that is coming into a market dominated by Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy Phones, Xiaomi, iQOO to name but a few.
So far, there is very little to no information regarding the specifications of the device. But, we hope to get more update as the MWC 2022 event gets closer.
