What is MTN XtraValue

The MTN XtraValue or XtraValue tariff plan is for those MTN Nigeria users that needs something extra. As the name suggests, XtraValue is a tariff plan that rewards MTN users with airtime and data to make calls, send SMS within Nigeria and some selected countries (over 40 countries) and also browse the internet.

XtraValue is divided into two

• XtraTalk: This package gives you more Airtime than data. If you prefer having more airtime to data then this XtraValue package is suitable for you.
• XtraData: This package gives MTN users more Data than Airtime. So, if you prefer browsing the internet to making calls then this package is good for you.

How to Migrate to MTN XtraValue

All you have to do is subscribe to any of the MTN XtraValue bundles. And you can do this by following any of the steps below

1. Dialing *131*2# and selecting any XtraValue plan of your choice.
2. Sending keyword of preferred XtraValue plan to 131. (See table below for keywords). The bonus airtime will be available for national calls, national SMS and PAYG data.
3. Downloading myMTN App and selecting XtraValue plan of choice from the available XtraValue plans.
4. Log on to myMTN Web Portal (http://mymtn.com.ng) to activate XtraData Plans.

Once you have successfully subscribed to a bundle plan, you will be automatically migrated to XtraValue plan and your XtraValue bundle account will be credited with the bundle elements.

Important Note

• You won’t be charged when migrating to XtraValue only the amount for any of the packages will be deducted.
• Migrating out of the XtraValue once in 30days won’t also attract any charge but migrating out of XtraValue more than once a month will cost you N100.
