The Chinese tech company is yet to make an official statement on when the foldable device will make its debut globally. However, official sales in China will commence on May 6th, 2022.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 outer display has a 7.8-inch OLED with a 2480 x 2200px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. When folded, the screen is 6.5-inches with a 2480 x 1176 px resolution. Huawei took advanced steps to improve long-term durability and also leaves no visible crease on the display.

Fueling the performance of the Huawei Mate Xs 2 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, paired with 8/12 GB RAM and 256/512 GB storage. There’s a card slot for storage expansion, but no 3.5mm jack support.

In terms of camera, Huawei’s latest foldable device has a triple rear camera setup, a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP OIS tele 3x optical zoom lens. The front houses a 10-megapixel punch-hole selfie shooter.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 is powered by a 4,880 mAh battery with a 66W fast charging system. And boots Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2 software out of the box. The foldable device is available in three different colours: Black, White and Purple. While keeping the foldable device secure, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
