About Huawei P50
Huawei P50 is the second device release by Huawei in its P series. It rocks Snapdragon 888 4G chipset under the hood, runs HarmonyOS 2, and comes with a 50MP triple rear camera. Its a tune down version of the P50 Pro and that is why it’s also more affordable.

Chipset, CPU and GPU
The chipset inside the Huawei P50 is Snapdragon 888 4G – same chipset used in the Pro version. This premium 4G SoC is manufactured by Qualcomm and its CPU and GPU can handle allot.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G has an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.84GHz that is accompanied by the Adreno 660 GPU.
When it comes to playing high graphics game, the chipset is up to the task. Aside from its processing power, the chipset is also very good when it comes AI, processing images etc.

Cameras
Huawei P50 comes with triple rear cameras of. A 50 MP True-Chroma Camera (color), 13 MP Ultra-Wide angle, and a 12 MP Telephoto Camera. Upfront, it has a 13MP selfie camera.
Both the back and front camera can record steady 4K videos. The following features are also available; Slow-Mo, OIS, gyro-EIS, AI Cinemagraph, Story Creator, Audio Zoom, High-res, Time-Lapse etc.

Just like the Pro version, Huawei P50 is rated to have IP68 level protection. The device is splash, dust and water resistant. And this means you can use the device under water without any worries.

RAM, Storage and Battery
This device comes in two storage options. There is the 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage and there is the 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
Huawei P50 is powered by a non-removable 4,100mAh battery with 66W Huawei SuperCharge. It has no wireless charge feature.

Software and Connectivity
Huawei P50 runs HarmonyOS 2 out of box. You can expect at least three years of major software update.
Games and Apps can be downloaded from Huawei App Gallery and you have access to use all Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). You won’t be able to make use of Google Services with this device.
