According to Huawei’s spokesperson, only China-based Huawei smartphones will stop supporting Android apps. Huawei will keep Android app support for international devices.
The new HarmonyOS Next will be available only in China for now, while global Huawei smartphones continue to use EMUI software. The EMUI software is based on Android Open Source and as such will continue supporting native Android apps.
