Build and Display

The phone has a front glass, plastic back, plastic frame and an IPS LCD display type. It comes with a huge display size of 6.6 inches and it has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~267 ppi density). This phone will not be launching with any form of display protection, hence you are advice to get a screen protector.

Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage

It is packed with MediaTek chipset, the MediaTek Helio A25 which is somewhere between the Helio A22 and Helio P22 chipset used in the Infinix Hot 8 series. This Helio A25 has better performance compared with the Helio A22 but less performance compared with the Helio P22. So, depending on your model of Infinix Hot 8, you will be getting a better chipset or not.

For data processing and heat management, the phone uses Octa-core 1.8 GHz Arm Cortex-A53 for processing data and 1.5 GHz Arm Cortex-A53 for power efficiency.

The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage with space for external storage via microSD card up to 256GB. This is relatively good as more files can be saved and the phone can process more data with the installed RAM size. If you manage to fill up the internal storage, then you have the option of external storage via microSD card.

Camera

The phone is coming with quad rear cameras (four back cameras). We are expecting a 16MP main shooter, 5MP + 2MP plus a possible depth sensor to assist the back cameras. We are expecting to see an ultrawide and macro camera at the back too. There won’t be any optical zoom option or OIS and gyro-EIS features.

But, we are expecting the back cameras to come with portrait mode, AI Face ID, Bokeh and AI camera features. Which means you can expect some pretty cool photos from the cameras.

Up front the phone uses a 8 megapixel camera placed in a punch hole at the top left of the screen. Overall, the phone is expected to take good photos at the back and front. Its camera quality and video quality is good enough to capture all the moment.
