The Tecno Camon 30 is more affordable and I’ll recommend it for anyone with a low budget. The Camon 30 has a starting price of $220 for the 8/256 GB version. Whereas, the Infinix Note 40 is more expensive with a starting price of $260 for a similar configuration of 8/256 GB. One of the major reasons why the Infinix Note 40 is more expensive is because of wireless charging technology.
2. Display, Design, and Durability
The Infinix Note 40 and Tecno Camon 30 have a dot-in display for the front camera and a flat screen. However, the back cover has a different design. Also, camera sensors are positioned differently. The picture below shows their respective design.
Interestingly, the display quality is the same across the board. They are sharp, colorful and bright. Both smartphones feature an OLED touchscreen with FHD+ resolution, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and 120Hz refresh rate support.

3. Performance- Same Speed!
Performance-wise, the Infinix Note 40 vs Tecno Camon 30 are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate 4G Chipset. Paired with 8/12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Based on our series of tests, we can confirm that the speed of performance is similar.
4. Camera Comparison- Tecno Camon 30 wins
The Infinix Note 40 comes with a 32MP f/2.2 front-facing unit, a 108MP f/1.9 main camera, a 2MP depth, and an auxiliary lens. The smartphone can only record video in 1080p / 2k resolution.
The Tecno Camon 30 comes with a 50MP f/2.2 front-facing unit, a 50MP f/1.9 main camera, and an auxiliary lens. The smartphone can only record video in 1080p / 2k resolution.
Tecno Camon 30’s rear camera has OIS and when it comes to vlogging, the 50MP front-facing camera is crisper. Also, for night photography, both are promising but I’ll recommend getting the Camon 30. Unfortunately, none of them can record video in 4K resolution.
5. Software
Infinix and Tecno are gradually stepping up in their software development. While there is still so much to do to catch up with the likes of Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi, however, the latest Camon 30 series and Infinix Note 40 series have shown the potential of Transsion products.
The Infinix Note 40 and Tecno Camon 30 run Android 14 software out of the box. And the tech companies have promised up to 2 years of OS updates.

6. Battery- Infinix Note 40 with Premium features
Both smartphones have a 5,000 mAh battery capacity. However, the charging speed is what differs. The Infinix Note 40 has a wired charging technology of 45W and a wireless charging system of 20W. In contrast, the Tecno Camon 30 brings a faster 70W wired charging speed.

The Tecno Camon 30 is cheaper than the Infinix Note 40. Also, it has a better camera than the Infinix Note 40. However, the Note 40 is more expensive because of the advanced charging technology such as wireless and reverse charging systems which are lacking in the Camon 30.
