The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 is a budget 5G phone from Infinix Mobile. It is the third phone in the Infinix Zero series and is the successor to the Infinix Zero 5G. To know more about this phone, let’s break down the key specifications of this device starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.
Chipset, CPU, and GPU
The Infinix Zero 2023 features two chipsets from MediaTek and the model you’ll get depend on your region. One of the models of this phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G chipset while the Zero 5G 2023 with the model number “X6815D” is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset. Both chipsets feature an octa-core processor but the Dimensity 1080 5G chipset has slightly faster CPU cores and an improved GPU and ISP.
If you live in Europe, chances are you’ll get the model of the phone that is powered by the Dimensity 1080 5G chipset. However, if you live in Africa and Asia, you might get the model with the less-performing Dimensity 920 5G chipset. Both chipsets are decent-performing chipsets but given the current trends of the phone market, the Dimensity 1080 5G chipset is the better chipset.

The Zero 5G 2023 features a triple rear camera system and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 50MP main camera that PDAF and can record videos in 4K resolution. The main camera is supported by a 2MP macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP front camera that can record videos in 1080p resolution.
There is no OIS and gyro-EIS stabilization features when taking photos and recording videos. But the rear camera has features such as Quad-LED flash, HDR, and panorama while the front camera has a Dual-LED flash.

Display, Design, and Durability
The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 has a 6.78-inches FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels). The display panel is an IPS LCD, can refresh at 120Hz, and has a peak brightness of 500 nits. The phone is made of a Glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame. The front screen of the phone is flat and has a centered punch hole while the rear panel is slightly curved and has a camera module in the top left corner.
The phone has two speakers (one on the top and the other at the bottom), a 3.5mm headphone jack port, and a microSD card slot. The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the frame while the USB Type-C and microphone are located at the bottom frame of the phone.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 is available in a single RAM and storage version. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone also supports 5GB of virtual RAM and there is a microSD card slot to expand storage. A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone and it has support for 33W wired fast charging but has no wireless charging. It’ll take about 32 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 100% using the wired charger.
