Display, Design and Build

Infinix Zero 5G Review

The display size of the Infinix Zero 5G is 6.8-inches. It comes with an IPS LCD panel, has FHD+ resolution, and has support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display might not be as colorful as AMOLED but it’s big enough to play games and watch movies.

The build material is plastic back, plastic frame, and glass front. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the power button and the speaker, charging port, and 3.5mm jack port is at the bottom.

The design of the phone is pretty sleek with the camera bump well built to the plastic back. Upfront it has a center punch hole that houses the selfie camera. Overall, the design, display, and build of the Zero 5G are solid. Not the best and premium materials but holding it feels very premium.

Camera

Infinix Zero 5G Review

Infinix Zero 5G comes with a total of four cameras. It has a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera. Both the back and front cameras can shoot video in 4K resolution.

The photo and video quality of the Zero 5G are not the best but it’s also not the worst you’ve seen in a smartphone. For one thing, the 48MP takes a really good camera that is well colored. The portrait mode is even better and it has a very good wide range when taking photos.

The Infinix Zero 5G also comes with night mode photography which you’ll find relatively useful for night photos. Photos from the 16MP selfie camera are good but struggle when it comes to portrait shots. Maybe the lack of edge detection in the front camera is what a software update can fix.

Perhaps the only disappointment with the cameras is the lack of stabilization. But the overall performance of the camera for the price you’re paying is not bad.

Chipset and Performance

Infinix Zero 5G Review

The chipset inside the Infinix Zero 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G. This chipset is very impressive as it features a really good CPU and GPU for a device in the mid-range segment. Its CPU speed is clocked at 2.4 GHz and has a peak download speed of 2.77 Gbps.

The Dimensity 900 5G chip has support for UFS 3.1 fast storage tech and LPDDR5 RAM. So, when it comes to performance, the chipset inside the Zero 5G offers so much for speed. Adding the 120Hz smooth refresh rate to the fast processing chipset gives you an incredible user experience.
