Infinix Zero X Pro Review: Infinix is now making sense

Infinix Zero X Pro review: The Infinix Zero X Pro promises a lot with mouthwatering specifications that made it distinct from others in the market. You have a 108MP main camera with optical Image stabilization, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, 4,500 mAh battery capacity with 45W fast charge and sitting at the helm is the MediaTek helio G95 chipset.

And to spice things up, Infinix brought in a persiocpe lens that is capable of 5x optical zoom and 60x hybrid zoom. So your zooming experience just got even better. And it seems the Infinix Zero X Pro is one of the few phones in the market to have a persiocpe lens at the price of under $400 (N187,000).

Design & Display

The design of the smartphone reminds me of the iPhone 12 Pro. It is boxy with sharp edge and protected by corning Gorilla Glass. While at the bottom you have the mono speaker, usb type c charging port and a head phone jack.

The Infinix Zero X Pro has a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is fluid, it is fast and smooth.

Performance | Chipset

But how was Infinix able to achieve 120Hz refresh rate with MediaTek helio G95 chipset? Infinix was smart, they thought out of the box because by default the MediaTek helio G95 chipset can only support 90Hz refresh rate but to make 120Hz possible, Infinix made use of dual chip system.

With the MediaTek helio G95 serving as chip 1 and MediaTek intelligent display chip serving as chip 2. The merging of these two chips resulted in the 120Hz refresh rate.

Infinix Zero X Pro Review: Camera

At the rear you have a camera bump that contains multiple lenses. first you have the 108MP with OIS that improves your photography experience In low light condition. So both in daytime and in lowlight condition you can take fantastic pictures.

For a quick comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and Realme 8 Pro had 108MP camera but are found lacking when it comes to OIS support. To beat the competition even more, Infinix introduced the periscope lens that is capable of 5x optical zoom.

The camera can also record video in 4k resolution. Infinix did an excellent job when it comes to the rear camera. While upfront you have a 16MP selfie camera that is just average.

Infinix Zero X Pro Review: Battery

The battery capacity is 4,500 mAh which can comfortably take you for a day+ and most interesting is the charging speed. You can get 40% within 15 mins of charge.

Software

Software wise, Infinix Zero X Pro runs XOS 7.6 skinned software based on Android 11 out of the box. And it will be nice if this phone can get a software update to Android 12.

Conclusion

The Infinix Zero X Pro is not perfect, certain areas need to be improved. For example, the selfie camera is average and also a stereo speaker would have been better. And to keep the value of the phone, it would be better if the Zero X Pro can upgrade to Android 12 in the coming months when the official Android 12 has been released by Google.

Well, other than those, the Infinix Zero X Pro is a bunch of many nice features that is worth going for. Fantastic display, fanstastic rear camera and fantastic battery life. I’d love know your opinion about the Infinix Zero X Pro review below. Are you getting one soon?
