Intel Core i5-13600k is as almost fast as AMD’s flagship processor -Ryzen 9 5950X. Intel is expected to release the 13th Gen CPU “Raptor Lake” series later this year. And currently, it seems the processor’s launch is not far off anymore as leaks have started pouring in from left and right.
The Intel Core i5-13600k made its latest appearance on Geekbench where its performance can be compared to that of the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. From the revelation on Geekbench, the core i5-13600K is a 14-core CPU with 20 threads. For this configuration to work only 6 Performance cores are permitted and one cluster of 8 Efficient cores is usable.
The CPUs were running at either 4.3 to 5.09 GHz (ASRock) or 5.05 to 5.1 GHz (ASUS). Intel Core i5-13600k scores on Geekbench were 1,980 and 2,012 points in single-core test and 14,425 and 16,054 in multi-core. Thisqqqqqqq means if we should use the highest points here, the Intel Core i5-13600k is about 18-20% faster than the Ryzen 9 5950X in SC and around 3% slower in MT.
What we’ve seen so far about the Intel Core i5-13600k is impressive knowing it is a mid-range processor. This only gets to show how capable the flagship 13th gen CPU from Intel would be.
