iQOO 10 is an affordable 2022 premium smartphone from vivo/iQOO. It is the successor to the iQOO 9 released a few months back and features the 2022 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a 120W faster charge.
To know more about the iQOO 10, allow me to break down the specifications of the device starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.
Chipset, CPU, and GPU
The iQOO 10 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This 5G chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm process node. It also features an Octa-core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.19GHz and an enhanced Adreno 730 GPU. The peak download speed of this chipset is above 10Gbps and its peak upload speed is above 5Gbps.
It features fast UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM technology. When it comes to performance and power efficiency, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is one of the best in the market. With the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip onboard the iQOO 10, users can play games using the highest graphic settings without issues and lags.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is also very power efficient and optimized to sustain performance for a long time. It also has the latest wireless connectivity technologies and a very impressive ISP chip.

On paper, the camera setup and features of the iQOO 10 are decent. It has a 50MP primary camera that has PDAF and OIS features. The primary camera is supported by a 12MP telephoto lens that has PDAF and 2x optical zoom. Then there is a 13MP ultra-wide lens to complete the triple rear cameras.
On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera that can shoot steady videos in 1080p resolution. The back camera can record steady videos in 4K resolution. The photography and videography features available in the iQOO 10 include PDAF, OIS, 2x optical zoom, gyro-EIS, Dual-LED flash, HDR, etc.

Display, Design, and Build
The display size of the iQOO 10 is 6.78-inch and it has an AMOLED panel, supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR. Its display brightness is up to 1500 nits and the front screen is flat with a Panda Glass protecting the display. But the back is slightly curved making it fits well into the user’s palm/hand.
The front screen has a simple punch-hole design while on the rear, it has a camera module in the top left corner that houses the triple camera sensors. iQOO 10 is made of Glass front (Panda Glass), aluminum frame, and glass back or aramid fiber back. For durability, the phone is splash and dustproof.
The iQOO 10 is very comfortable to hold and it feels and looks premium. The volume button and power button are located on the right side of the frame while the USB Typ-C port, speaker, and microphone are located on the bottom frame. It has no space for a 3.5mm headphone jack.

RAM, Storage, and Battery
The iQOO 10 has four RAM and storage configurations. It has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. This device has no space for storage expansion via a microSD card slot, so you can’t expand storage.
iQOO 10 is powered by a 4,700mAh battery with support for a 120W wired fast charge. You can charge this phone from 0 to 100% in about 20 minutes. The iQOO 10 also has support for Power Delivery 3.0.
Software and Sensors
The China model of the iQOO 10 boots Origin OS Ocean based on Android 12 while the global model of the iQOO 10 boots Funtouch 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. This phone will get at least three years of major software updates and four years of monthly security patches. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA.

iQOO 10 Release Date
The iQOO 10 was released on July 19, 2022. This phone will be available for pre-order and sale in China first by July 26, 2022. vivo/iQOO is expected to bring the phone to the global market later.
