iQOO to launch iQOO Pad on May 23 with similar design and specs as the Vivo Pad 2

More Chinese phone makers are joining the tablet and foldable phone market. We recently saw the OPPO Pad and OnePlus Pad and it seems iQOO is getting in on the action as well.

iQOO Pad Launch Date

According to a listing on JD.com, iQOO will launch its first tablet phone on May 23. This is the same event where the company is set to unveil the iQOO Neo 8, Neo 8 Pro, and TWS Air Pro TWS earbuds. The iQOO Pad will be the first tablet device from iQOO.

As per the listing on JD.com, the iQOO Pad will come in four storage configurations. It’ll come with 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB storage configurations. The listing does not confirm the specs and price of the device but we have an idea what you can expect.

From the pictures uploaded on JD.com, the iQOO Pad have similar design as the Vivo Pad 2 which was launched on China few weeks ago. This means the iQOO Pad could have similar specs as the Vivo Pad 2. This is not surprising as iQOO is a child company of Vivo.

iQOO Pad specs (expected)

If the iQOO Pad is anything like the Vivo Pad 2, then it could come with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with 1968 x 2800 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Its performance could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device will be powered by a 10,000mAh battery that supports 44W wired charging. As for the cameras, it could come with an 8-megapixel front camera, a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

It’ll boot OriginOS 3 based on Android 13 OS out of the box and might get up to two years of software updates. It won’t support cellular connectivity and thus has no SIM card slot. However, it’ll offer Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity.

iQOO Pad Price and Availability

The price of the iQOO Pad could start at $399 for the 8GB RAM +128GB storage trim. The iQOO Pad will be launched in China on May 23 and will be available for purchase after it’s launched. Details of how and where to buy the device will be made available here when it’s launched.
