While the information we have regarding the chipset, RAM and other internal specs is limited, popular Weibo tipster @DCS revealed some internal features of this device.
Accoroding to @DCS, the Honor Play 5 will rock a chipset from the MediaTek under the hood. It will use the Dimensity 800U chipset.
Which means the device will come with 5G or at least there is a model of the Honor Play 5 that supports 5G. This same chipset is what it currently inside the honor V40 light luxury model that sells for about $466.

The camera is coming with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. For a mid-range device, a 64MP sensor is just okay. Features of the camera is still unknown for now.
Although there is no information regarding the front camera, but we’re guessing a 16MP sensor. Also, the device uses a 3800mAh battery which by industry standard it’s small.
But, using a 66W fast charging for a 3800mAh battery is insane. It will take less to no time for the battery to be fully charged up. Literally speaking, it won’ take up to 30 mins for the device to be fully charge (assuming it truly supports 66W fats charge and it has 3800mAh battery).
