Asus has just confirmed that it will be rolling out the Android 12 for its Zenfone and Rog Phone smartphones. The company has come out with the list of Zenfone and Rog Phones smartphones that’ll be getting the Android 12 update.
To bring the new Android OS to these phones, Asus has brought out a schedule or timeline for these devices to get the update. With the release of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro by Google, more phone companies have started bringing schedule to update their devices to Android 12.

Vivo has also officially come out with its Android 12 update schedule. Now, its Asus that is ready to bring the update to its Zenfone and Rog Phone users.
According to Asus, the company has already recruited some users of Asus Zenfone 8 for the beta testing program of the Android 12. With this beta test, the company can identify and fix bugs based on real user experience before the final software is rolled out to users.

The Zenfone 8 lineup is expected to get the Android 12 update in December 2021. While the Asus Rog Phone 5 and Rog Phone 5s lineup is getting the update by the first quarter of 2022 (Jan – March).
Zenfone 7 lineup and the Rog Phone 3 lineup are expected to get the update during the first half of 2022 (Jan – June). It seems ASUS will be rolling out the stable update instead of beta updates. This is good as most users getting the update won’t have to deal with bugs from installing a beta update.

This update will roll out gradually by December 2021 and we expect users in Taiwan to be the first to get these updates. User from other regions might get the update in late December or early January (for those using Zenfone 8).
