MediaTek Dimensity 1050: The MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset is the first chip from MediaTek to support 5G mmWave. It is built on TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing process. It features an octa-core CPU and support for WQHD display with up to 144Hz screen refresh rate. The first smartphones to use this chipset is expected as early as Q3 2022.
The Dimensity 1050 has its two powerful Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5GHz with the six Cortex-A55 ones clocked at 2GHz. The GPU is an Arm Mali-G610 MC3, using the latest Arm Mali-G610 graphics engine means the Dimensity 1050 provides great gaming performance and improved efficiency versus the previous generation Mali designs.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1050 supports Dual 5G SIM connectivity as well as mmWave and Sub-6GHz. It will allow seamless connectivity through an easy switch between the Sub-6GHz and the mmWave standards. Other features include all the latest Wi-Fi standards, 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.2.
