MediaTek Dimensity 7050 vs MediaTek Dimensity 7200: The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 is faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 11% speed performance. Mind you, the Dimensity 7050 is not new. Rather it’s a rebranded Dimensity 1080 chipset that was released in 2022.

Phones that are using the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Chip are more expensive than Dimensity 7050 phones. For now, few devices are using the 7050 chipset. The likes of the Realme 11 Pro+ and Lava Agni 2 5G.

The Dimensity 7200 has a faster CPU speed and more GPU cores that facilitate its superiority. Following their peak Geekbench scores, the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 beats the Dimensity 7050 by 11%. The former had 2,661 multi-core points, while the latter scored 2,391 points in multi-core.

As for the CPU configuration, both SoCs have octa-core processors but with a midrange 2+6 architecture. However, the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 is clocked higher which gave it an edge.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 brings 2 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 6 x Cortex-A510. In contrast, the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 is clocked lower at 2 x 2.6 GHz & 6 x 2.0 GHz. In a live scenario, the performance difference may be minimal but it’s noticeable.
