Mobile GPU Benchmark: MediaTek Dimensity 9200 beats Apple A16 Bionic chipset in an early GFXBench test. The upcoming Dimensity 9200 uses ARM’s newest Immortalis-G715 GPU, its first GPU with hardware ray tracing support.
According to a GFX leak result, the Dimensity 9200 chipset scored 328fps in the GFX 1080p Manhattan 3.0 off-screen Test, and also reportedly scored 228 fps in Manhattan 3.1 off-screen tests. When compared to the Apple A16 Bionic, the A16 managed to score 280 fps and 200 fps on these same tests respectively.
The above benchmark shows how impressive the mobile GPU of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC is. Moreover, Digital Chat Station revealed the chips core configuration sometime ago.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Chip could have a max clock speed of 3.05GHz, and a base frequency of 2.85GHz, and its efficiency-based cores will supposedly run at 2.0GHz. Although the company is yet to confirm if these will be its final frequencies.
MediaTek has started sending invites out for the launch event of the Dimensity 9200 chipset. The Dimensity 9200 will be announced on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. This means MediaTek will announce a week before Qualcomm announces its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
