Motorola 200MP camera phone which also could be named Motorola Frontier may launch in July. The confirmation of a 200MP cameraphone was revealed by Motorola China. The new teaser is trumpeting the 200MP camera sensor as a “new benchmark for image experience”.
Previously, we’ve seen a leaked photo of a Motorola phone with a 200MP sensor. The sensor could be the Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor that was unveiled yesteryear September. The sensor can do 4×4 pixel binning which results in 12.5 MP resolution, or 2×2 pixel binning, which outcomes in 50 MP resolution with a productive pixel size of 1.28 µm. In this mode, it can shoot 8K video (at 30 fps).
The first smartphone with a 200MP camera may be powered by the recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Motorola had already confirmed the release of a new flagship device to use this new chipset by July.
So the Motorola 200MP or Motorola Frontier may debut with a 200MP main camera, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 8/12 GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage. There’s also a rumour of it having a curved 6.67-inch pOLED touchscreen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 60MP selfie cam.
