Motorola Moto X40 launch Date: To come with SD Gen 2, IP68, and more

Motorola Moto X40 launch Date: A new report has confirmed that Motorola will launch the Motorola Moto X40 in December. The company has joined Xiaomi and vivo/iQOO which will launch their flagship phones on December 1st and December 2nd respectively.

Just like the other flagship phones, the Moto X40 will feature the newly released Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and it’ll be water and dustproof. The vivo X90 Pro+ is the first Android phone to feature the new Qualcomm chipset but it appears by December, more android phones will be jumping on that bandwagon.

Motorola Moto X40 launch Date

According to a Weibo post by the General Manager of Lenovo’s Mobile Division, Chen Jin, the Moto X40 will have IP68 dust and water resistance. The poster uploaded by Chen Jin also confirmed that the Motorola Moto X40 launch date in China is in December. But, Chen did not confirm the exact day in December.

Previous reports have suggested that the smartphone will come with a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and support for HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit colors. The performance of the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset paired with up to 18GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

Moto X40 design

Moto X40 is expected to come with a triple rear camera and a single front camera. It might have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 60MP selfie camera. A 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W wired fast charging will juice up the phone and it might boot MY UI 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The phone is also expected to have great performance. This is because according to previously released AnTuTu benchmark scores, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 scored 1312901 points which is better than the 1266101 points scored by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200.
