Motorola is getting the attention it deserve in the smartphone industry. The company boost of the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone and it seems its focus is not just top end flagship phones.
Of the 5 smartphones to be launch by Motorola, three are premium mid-range smartphones that is expected to come with aggressive price tags. The other two phones are expected to be in the budget segment.
So far, the official names of these phones are not revealed but we do have the codenames for these incoming Motorola phones:
At least one of these phones is expected to feature an under-display camera technology. This could be the global version of the Edge X30 special edition. Note that none of the phones looks similar to the Edge 30 Pro which is rumored to be the global version of the Motorola Edge X30 launched in China last year.
It’s also possible that one of the phones might be the global version of the Motorola Edge S30 that was released alongside the X30 last year. So far, only images of these phones is available which leaves room for lots of imaginations.
Specifications such as chipsets, RAM size, display size, battery and many more are yet to be available. But what we do know is the top three models will feature a 50MP main camera at the rear.
Also, the phones will also likely feature an OLED pane, with the top three models coming with higher refresh rate. For the top models, Motorola might use high end Qualcomm chipsets such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 888 5G.
While for the lower models, the company might use chipsets from the mid-range segment in a bit to save cost. You can expect to see up to 8GB of RAM for the top models and 4/6GB of RAM for the lower models.
When it comes to software, all phones might boot Android 12 out of the box. And as for battery, we can expect to see up to 5,000mAh with support for fast charge in the top models.
Again, all these specs are just speculations but according to the leak, Motorola will unveil these phones by April. One thing we know for sure is that more leaks are coming. So keep watching this space.
