Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ is a premium gaming smartphone from ZTE/Nubia. It is the successor/upgrade of the Red Magic 7S Pro released by the company early this year. For its performance, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This is a 5G chipset that is built on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process technology. It features an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 740 GPU. The CPU has one 3.2GHz Cortex-X3 performance core, two 2.8GHz Cortex-A715 prime cores, two 2.8GHz Cortex-A710 prime cores, and three 2.0GHz Cortex-A510 efficiency cores.

Cameras

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro Plus has a triple rear camera system and a single front camera. It has a 50MP main camera that is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP selfie camera. The 16MP front camera is placed under the display of the phone.

The 50MP main camera can record steady videos in 8K resolution while the 16MP front camera can record videos in 1080p resolution. Other camera features are Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama, gyro-EIS, etc.

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro Plus has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ 1080 x 2400 pixels display resolution that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The front screen is flat, has very tiny bezels, and has an under-display camera technology. This allows users to have access to the full screen as there is no punch-hole or cut-out notch on the screen.

The smartphone is made of a Glass front, glass back, and aluminum frame. It has an Aviation aluminum middle frame and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass. The rear camera module is located in the top center, the REDMAGIC text is written in the middle of the rear pane while the REDMAGIC logo is printed on the bottom of the rear panel.

This smartphone has Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and stereo speakers (one at the bottom the other at the top). The volume and power buttons are on the right side of the frame while the USB Type-C port and microphone are at the bottom frame of the phone. The battery inside the phone is a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 165W wired fast charging. It does not support wireless charging and you can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in less than 15 minutes using the 165W wired charger.
