Nubia Z50 is an affordable premium phone produced by Nubia a subbrand of ZTE. It is the successor/upgrade to the Nubia Z40 released last year and it features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and supports wireless charging. Under the helm, the Nubia Z50 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This 5G chipset is built on a 4nm process technology and it features an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 740 GPU. The CPU has one Cortex-X3 performance core, two Cortex-A715 prime cores, two Cortex-A710 prime cores, and three Cortex-A510 efficiency cores.
The chipset in this phone is powerful and features a fast 5G MODEM, fast Wi-Fi, and a powerful ISP and AI engine. The Nubia Z50 has:

Nubia Z50 has a dual rear camera system and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 64MP main camera that has PDAF and OIS features. The main camera is supported by a 50MP ultra-wide lens that has AutoFocus, and a 16MP OmniVision OV16A1Q front-facing camera that is powered by Nubia’s NeoVision imaging algorithm.
The 64MP main camera can record steady videos in 4K resolution while the 16MP front camera can record videos in 1080p resolution. Other camera features are Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama, gyro-EIS, etc.

Display, Design, and Durability
Nubia Z50 has a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) display resolution and support for 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The front screen is slightly curved and it has a centered punch hole on the top of the screen that houses the front camera.
The phone is made of a Glass front, glass back, and aluminum frame. It is not certified to be water and dustproof but its display is protected by Gorilla Glass. The rear design of the phone looks cool with the camera module on the top left corner and the Nubia logo inscribed close to the camera module.
The phone has Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and two speakers (one at the bottom the other at the top). The volume and power buttons are on the right side of the frame while the USB Type-C port and microphone are at the bottom frame of the phone. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack port and no microSD card slot.

Nubia Z50 comes in five storage models. It has 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB storage. There is no microSD card slot hence users can expand storage once they exhaust the internal storage.
The battery inside the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. Using the 80W wired charger, you can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in less than 30 minutes.
Software and Other Features
Nubia Z50 boots MyOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. The phone will get about three years of major software updates and security patches. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA. Other features available are:
