Nvidia RTX 3090 vs Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti: Nvidia was very deliberate in its move to announce the RTX 3090 Ti as the successor to the RTX 3090. The Nvidia RTX 3090 was already very powerful and clutch at performance. One can therefore imagine the sterling performance of RTX 3090 Ti.

Nvidia RTX 3090 vs Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti: Price
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card was launched back in September 2020. The MSRP was at $1,499 but because of chip shortages, you could get it for as high as $2,599 in some retailers. The successor RTX 3090 Ti is more expensive and will be readily available from early next month April 2022.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 vs RTX 3090 Ti: Performance
The RTX 3090 Ti is the most expensive graphics card yet from Nvidia, and that has a robust effect on the performance as well. Where the RTX 3090 left on in the performance, the newest Nvidia RTX 3090 TI took further.
At CES 2022, Nvidia’s Jeff Fisher during the announcement called the RTX 3090 Ti “a monster of a GPU,”. Additionally, Nvidia alleged that the memory speed would see a 7.7% improvement, going from 19.5 Gbps to 21 Gbps. This gives a 7.7% bandwidth increase, making this the first video card to smash the 1 Tb/s bandwidth.
The CUDA cores have been increased from 10496 on the RTX 3090 to 10752 on the RTX 3090 Ti, which is a boost of 2.4%, and the GPU clusters boosted as well by 2.5%. Although in real-world performance the difference is there, and it won’t in any way destroy the predecessor completely.
Both graphic cards can perform in 4k and 8k HDR but the RTX 3090 Ti is more stable. And for those who need to hear this, the RTX 3090 Ti won’t be of any use in gaming only because that will be overkill.
The word “power-efficient” is far off from these two graphic cards. None of them does it like the Apple Mac Studio computer that can deliver insane high peak performance while consuming less power.
The RTX 3090 Ti extends the RTX 3090’s 350W to 450W TDP, while the PSU requirements are expected to be as high as 1000W to gain the full expectations of the graphics card.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is the most powerful graphics card yet from the company. At the moment, it currently has no rival in the industry. It’s also the most expensive at the time of writing this article.
The RTX 3090 Ti won’t be of any use in gaming only because that will be total overkill, but rather it is for those who use their gaming PC for heavy-duty workloads like 3D modeling and rendering, machine learning, and video encoding, while the extra cores will help with a performance boost.
For those with the RTX 3090 graphics card, there is no need for getting the newest flagship RTX 3090 Ti card from Nvidia. Just hold on till September later this year when the RTX 40xx cards would launch.
