OnePlus 10T is the enhanced version of the OnePlus 10 Pro released by OnePlus a few months back. Following its usual tradition, the company is releasing the 10T with an improved chipset but still maintains the overall design of the device to look just like the OnePlus 10 Pro. The OnePlus 10T is also more affordable than the 10 Pro making it a good option to buy.
To know more about the OnePlus 10T, allow me to break down the specifications of the device starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.
Chipset, CPU, and GPU
The OnePlus 10T features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This is a 5G chipset that is built on TSMC’s 4nm process node. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip features an Octa-core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.19GHz and an enhanced Adreno 730 GPU. The peak download speed of this chipset is above 10Gbps and its peak upload speed is above 5Gbps.
Performance and heat management are key areas where the OnePlus 10T is expected to be better than the 10 Pro. Its chipset is an enhanced version of the OnePlus 10 Pro and has better heat management and faster CPU cores. So, when it comes to playing games and doing graphics-intensive work, the chipset that powers the OnePlus 10T is one of the best in 2022
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the CPU inside the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is faster and the GPU is also very powerful. This new chipset is also better at heat management and is more power efficient. This means the OnePlus 10T is expected to have a longer-lasting battery and the device won’t get hot under intensive use.

Cameras
OnePlus 10T features a triple rear camera and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 50MP primary camera with PDAF and OIS features. The primary camera is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera. The OnePlus 10T is not coming with a dedicated telephoto lens (unlike the OnePlus 10 Pro) and it lacks some impressive camera features such as optical zoom.
But, the 50MP primary camera can record videos in 8K resolution while the front camera can record video in 1080p resolution. Camera features such as gyro-EIS, OIS, PDAF, AF, LED flash, and HDR. There is no Hasselblad Color Calibration are available on this device. So, the camera experience when taking photos and videos is not boring but lacks some features and the Hasselblad camera app.

Display, Design, and Durability
The display size of the OnePlus 10T is 6.7-inches, FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2412 pixels), and a fluid AMOLED panel. The display panel does not allow the smartphone to auto-refresh between 120Hz and 1Hz because it’s not an LTPO panel. It also has support for HDR10+ and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The front screen is flat while the back panel is slightly curved.
OnePlus 10T is made of a Glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), glass back (Gorilla Glass 5), and a plastic frame. The device is not water and dustproof but a single fall from a reasonable height (like a table) won’t shatter the glass of this device. On the rear, it has a big camera module that is placed in the top left corner while on the front it has a punch hole on top of the screen that houses the selfie camera.
The OnePlus 10T has its volume rocker and power button on the side of the phone. However, the dedicated switch button is not available. It has a microphone, speaker grill, and USB Type-C charging port on the bottom frame of the phone. Sadly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack port so you can either buy a OnePlus Buds Z2 with the device.

RAM, Storage, and Battery
The OnePlus 10T comes in different RAM and storage configurations. It has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 256GB storage. This device has no space for storage expansion via a microSD card slot, so you can’t expand storage. And the storage model you’ll get depends on your location or country.
Powering the OnePlus 10T is a 4,800mAh non-removable battery with support for a 150W fast charge. But those in the US and Canada will get the version of the OnePlus 10T that has support for a 125W fast charge. There is no wireless charge solution available for this phone.
Software and Sensors
The OnePlus 10T boots OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. This phone will get at least four years of major software updates and five years of monthly security patches. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA.
OnePlus 10T has an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. It also has support for Face Unlock and has support for Google Assistant. Other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, color spectrum, etc.
