Display, Design, and Build
OnePlus 9RT comes with a 6.62-inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The display has the Always-on Display feature and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
As for the design, it has a flat screen, a slightly curved back cover, and a punch hole at the top left corner of the screen that houses the selfie camera. The device has no 3.5mm jack port but features stereo speakers and the volume and power buttons are on the right side of the device.

This smartphone has no official water and dust resistance rating. But, the display is colorful and it features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Camera
OnePlus 9RT comes with a total of four cameras (three at the rear and one up front). At the rear, it has a 50MP main camera with OIS and PDAF, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, it comes with a 16MP selfie camera placed in a punch hole. Let’s talk about the usefulness, quality of photos, and features of the camera.
Sadly, there is no telephoto lens hence no optical, hybrid or digital zoom feature. But, you can record steady video thanks to the OIS and gyro-EIS features. You can also shoot 4k videos and take good night photos with the help of its Dual-LED flash.

Chipset and Performance
The chipset inside the OnePlus 9RT is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G. This is the chipset most flagship Android smartphones will be using in 2021. It features really good-performing CPU cores and powerful GPU cores.
At its peak, the download speed of the Snapdragon 888 5G chip is 7.5 Gbps. This chip also comes with lots of AI capabilities and an impressive ISP to process images and videos. As far as performance goes, the CPU, GPU, AI, and ISP inside this chip guarantee you a smooth performance.

You get to rock the 5G network and also have access to AI and machine learning features. Playing games and processing high graphics with this device should not be a problem.
RAM and Storage
The smartphone comes in three RAM and storage combinations to choose from 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. There is no space for storage expansion via microSD card.

Battery
It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with a 65W fast charge. You can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in about 30 minutes. You don’t get wireless charge and reverse wireless charge in this device.
Software
OnePlus 9RT boots ColorOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box. OnePlus has promised up to 3 years of major software updates and security patches for this device. You can download updates, apps, and games from the Google Play Store and you have access to use Google Mobile Services (GMS).
