Price

Starting with the prices, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G starts at £299 for the 6/128 GB variant. And the price gradually increases as you go for the 8/12 GB RAM models with more storage.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G price starts from £180 for the 4/64 GB model. And to purchase the highest model of 6/128 GB, you will add just £20. So overall, the Poco M3 Pro 5G is more affordable.

Display | Design | Durability

When it comes to display, both smartphones have  a FHD+ screen resolution with 90Hz refresh rate. However, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a better panel quality. It has an AMOLED touchscreen which is good for both indoor and out door usage. Unlike the IPS LCD panel on the Poco M3 Pro 5G.

Camera

Camera wise, the Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G has 48MP primary camera + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro lens. The selfie camera is 8MP.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a better camera setup. The primary camera is 64MP and there is an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 2MP macro lens completing the triple setup. The front camera is 16MP.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G vs Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G are powered by different chipsets. The Poco M3 Pro is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G which is a budget friendly 5G SoC.  The chip is built on 7nm process which helps in less power consumption.

On the other hand, OnePlus Nord CE 5G is powered by Snapdragon 750G chip. The SoC is built on 8nm process. But even at that, when it comes to performance, it is better than the Dimensity 700 found in Poco M3 Pro 5G.

In terms of RAM and Storage, the OnePlus has 6-12GB RAM + 128/256 GB storage setup (No SD card slot available ). While the Poco M3 Pro 5G has 4/6 GB RAM. Thus, when it comes to multi-tasking, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G wins.

Software

Both devices run Android 11 out of the box on top their own skin software. Although no official words yet from OnePlus and Xiaomi about Android 12 upgrade on any of these two devices.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G vs Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G: Conclusion

It is true that the Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G is more affordable. However, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expensive because it offers more value for money.

If I’m to score these two smartphones by percentage. I’ll score the OnePlus Nord CE 5G (60%) and give the Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G (40%).
