The OnePlus Ace (or OnePlus 10R as known in some regions) was announced by OnePlus last month. OnePlus is now ready to launch a speed edition of the phone called OnePlus Ace Speed Edition to come May 17, 2022. This edition will be bringing some features that are different from the normal Ace edition.

The company has confirmed via its Weibo page that the phone will be launched in China and just like the OnePlus Ace, it might be a China-exclusive device. But, if you live outside China and still want to get this phone, we’ll provide a link to purchase the device when it’s launched. But, it’s also possible that OnePlus might launch this phone under a different name in the global market.

OnePlus is yet to release the full specs of the Ace speed edition but it seems it’ll feature an IPS LCD display panel because the fingerprint scanner is on the side. This phone might however maintain the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G chipset because the listing on TENAA confirmed its CPU speed to be clocked at 2.85GHz.

The design of the Ace Speed is different from that of the normal Ace. The rear camera module is different but still maintains triple rear camera sensors. Unlike the regular OnePlus Ace, the Ace speed edition will feature a 3.5mm audio jack.

From the image shared on Weibo, the phone has a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a 3.5 mm audio jack on the bottom. The display is 6.59-inches and we expect it to come with at least a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.

The phone might also be called OnePlus Ace Race. There is very limited information about the phone right now but we hope to get more details when it’s launched on May 17.
