OnePlus is set to replace the OnePlus Nord 5G with a more sophisticated pocket friendly 5G phone. The company started bringing devices in the mid-range segment since October 2020 with the Nord N10 5G and Nord N100 (good devices by the way).
The Nord N10 5G’s replacement will be called the Nord CE 5G
According to tipster Max Jambor, OnePlus is bringing a new 5G phone that has better value for money. And the device will be named OnePlus Nord CE 5G. This will serve as the successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

The reason why OnePlus decided to use ‘CE’ is still unknown but maybe the phrase ‘CE’ might mean ‘Cheap Edition’, ‘Cost Edition’ or something else related to the device been affordable.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G Supposed Specs
The incoming Nord CE 5G is rumored to have 6.5 –inch punch-hole display. It’s coming with an IPS LCD panel with triple rear camera cameras. Then there is a fingerprint sensor that is side mounted and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other specs of the device include the chipset that will pilot the affairs of the processing. As a 5G device, it’s expected to pack a chipset that supports 5G.
The current Nord N10 5G is using the Snapdragon 690 chipset from Qualcomm. So, it’s possible that OnePlus might decide to use an upgraded chipset like the Snapdragon 700-series.

But we can’t also rule out the possibility of the company using a 5G chipset from MediaTek like the Dimensity 700 or 900 series. This will be a switch of loyalty but MediaTek chipsets appears to be much more affordable than those of Qualcomm.
There is also the possibility that OnePlus might choose to use a lower chipset. Like the Snapdragon 480 5G. This won’t come as a total surprise as the Nord 100 is using Snapdragon 460.

Pricing of the new OnePlus Nord 5G device
The current OnePlus Nord N10 5G cost about $300 and the incoming device will cost about same price or a little less while also having more recent features.
